The short film "Beautiful Terrible" is based on the sudden disappearance of White Lake (Bolotnikovo, Russia) in May of 2005. Scientists and geologists announced that it was due to a series of underground caves that collapsed. In 2007 and 2008 I built a four by five foot scale model of the White Lake in order to reconstruct its disappearance on film.
