This work was a response to the walled garden at
Outpost, which is reminiscent of historical paradise gardens. Through my research I have come to understand the walled garden as a site of utopian desire, longing for paradise or perfection, a lush and verdant oasis from the harsh exterior conditions. The installation "nowhere more than here right now" took place in the freezing snowdrifts of winter and was composed of hundreds of handcut blossoms tied to the bare branches of a fruit tree.
